CzechToll is the operator of the Czech Republic’s GNSS-based electronic tolling system for vehicles weighting over 3.5 tonnes. The system (delivered by SkyToll, TollNet and CzechToll) was designed to ensure high collection efficiency, transparency and long-term cost-effectiveness. Thanks to its architecture and operational model, it ranks among the most efficient satellite tolling systems of its kind in international comparison.
Delivering and operating a national satellite tolling system
In the Czech Republic, CzechToll operates a nationwide satellite tolling system covering motorways and selected first-class roads. The system is based on GNSS technology and advanced back-office processing, enabling flexible tariff setting, seamless user registration and effective enforcement.

The operational model emphasizes stability, cybersecurity, customer-oriented services and continuous system development. CzechToll, with support of SkyToll and TollNet, ensures full lifecycle management of the tolling solution, including system operation, maintenance, development and customer support.
Expanding expertise beyond the Czech Republic
Building on its experience from operating one of Europe’s most efficient satellite tolling systems, CzechToll has also been involved in the development and delivery of key tolling information system components and customer service solutions for projects outside the Czech Republic - in 2027, it is expected to start operation of its new GNSS toll system in Slovakia.
